Welcome to Redman Wines
2009 RESERVE PINOT NOIR PRODUCTION

Redman Vineyard on Ribbon Ridge experienced dry, cold winter and early spring followed by a mostly warmer and drier than normal May through September.  Above high temperatures offered good overall growth and ripening conditions.  In August, Redman Vineyard dropped 50% of its clusters to produce quality, not quantity.  Average cluster weight for the 4th year Pinot Noir was .23 lbs.

Redman Vineyards young vines produced a healthy crop of large, tight clusters that ripened evenly thanks to the late season warm weather and ideal picking conditions on September 21, 2009! Pickers arrived at 6:45 AM and were in the vineyard with buckets and clippers at 7:17 AM, all 40 of them.  They completed picking just under 23 tons of fruit at 1:30 PM.

The fruit was transported in totes to Adelsheim where they were sorted and fermented for 15 days.  We pressed the grapes into French oak barrels: 20% new and 80% neutral.  The Redman Reserve is 30% 777 clones, 30% Pommard, 30% 667 clones and 10% 115 clone, free run juice and best of the best barrels! Bottled August 25, 2010.

WINE PRESS NORTHWEST, Spring, 2011 ~ OUTSTANIDNG!
Located in the smallest appellation in the Pacific Northwest – Ribbon Ridge is just 3,350 acres in size – Redman is producing superb wines from estate grapes.  This opens with aromas of sweet spices, lavender and blueberries, followed by zesty flavors of cranberries backed with velvety tannins.
